A Significant Evolution From The Previous Gen2 Platform, The Gen3 Rules Implemented A Raft Of Changes For The Ford Mustang Gt Supercar In 2023, With A Large Focus On Achieving A Much Closer Visual Connection To Its Road Going Counterpart, More Controlled Parts And Less Downforce To Encourage Greater Racing.

It’S Fair To Say That The Gen3 Platform Really Suited Erebus Motorsport And Will Brown Straight Out Of The Blocks. Now With Major Backing From Coca-Cola, Brown’S #9 Camaro Not Only Looks Awesome, But Has Been Fast All Year, Claiming Multiple Poles, Race Wins And Podiums To Sit Around The Top Of The Championship Standings For The Majority Of The Season.

Come The Bathurst 1000, Brown, Joined By Co-Driver Jack Perkins, Looked To Be On The Pace With Their Teammates In The #99 Car Throughout The Early Stages Of The Weekend. Come Qualifying However, Brown Made An Error – A Self Confessed “Balls-Up” – When He Locked A Front And Sent His Car Flying Into The Turn 2 Tyre Barrier. A Massive Effort From The Team Got Brown Back On Tack To Qualify 17Th.

The Accident And Poor Qualifying Result Ultimately Put The #9 Camaro On The Back Foot Come Race Day.
